Candle of Eternal Wishes
So my birthday is tomorrow, and thought it would be fun to write up a magical item for it!

Candle of Eternal Wishes
Wondrous Item, Rare (requires attunement)Appearance:
A simple beeswax candle in a silver holder, etched with tiny constellations. The wick never shortens until the candle is lit for the first time, at which point it burns for exactly 21 minutes — never more, never less. The wax glows faintly gold and smells of warm cake and fresh parchment.
Properties:
While attuned, you can light the Candle of Eternal Wishes as an action. When lit, the candle grants the following effects:
Birthday Blessing. While the candle is burning, you and up to 8 creatures within 30 feet gain advantage on all attack rolls, saving throws, and ability checks.
\
Make a Wish. At any point during the candle’s burn, you may blow it out and make a single wish aloud. The wish functions as the Wish spell, but with the following limitations:
The wish must be phrased as a single sentence.
It cannot cause harm directly to a creature.
It must be something that could reasonably happen in your campaign’s world without breaking its fundamental laws.
Once the candle is extinguished—naturally or by blowing—it disappears in a swirl of golden sparks.

Special Birthday Effect:
If lit on August 21st, the candle burns for 62 minutes instead, and the wish ignores the limitations above (though the DM may still apply narrative consequences).
DM’s Note:
The Candle of Eternal Wishes is a great “big moment” item — something to give during a milestone session or as a reward for a year’s worth of in-game victories. Players will probably hoard it until the most dramatic possible moment, which is exactly the point.
